Really sad about the booths being removed :( The booths were a signature feature of the place, and now it's just a generic looking place like every other remodeled place you see.
The Kim's retired and a non profit took it over. No more booths and no counter seats but the place looks remodeled, bright and clean. Same menu, the cook is better. The workers are learning but polite. The English is limited but just point at the menu and smile, they smile back.
The chicken fried steak and eggs was old school and I enjoyed it. Yes, it's on a neighborhood where the interior is not worth fixing but expect that and cholesterol and you'll be fine. Not expensive and full 70's breakfast menu! It's good

Wow! Such an amazing breakfast!!!! I happened to come across this place by chance as I was walking by on Mission Street. When I walked inside, I was warmly welcomed by Kim. She is super sweet and is the reason I'm leaving this review. The food was fantastic! I ordered the turkey sausage with eggs, hash browns and toast. A clean hearty, post workout breakfast. Anyways, would 110% recommend this place as well as looking forward to eating here again.
I love this breakfast joint for its simplicity. Your coffee is always full. The food is exactly what you would expect from a classic diner-except they throw in that mission flair with an amazing salsa verde (off menu of course) that you can smother on everything. The people who run this place offer the best service and the prices can't be beat- and the best part is I never have to wait. There is usually plenty of space and the service is most efficient.
